In Remembrance 2- acrylic & prismacolor on paper, 11½” x 15”, 2012

I promised that I would add some new artwork when this website was fixed. So, I did. I’ve added the first two pieces from a new series entitled In Remembrance. This series has been in progress for years. But, it really pulled together conceptually a couple of years ago after my father was in a very serious car accident and I saw the fragmentary nature of memory as he was healing. 

Technology is a wonderful thing…most of the time. If anyone has tried looking at my paintings links over the last week or two (and hopefully you have) you will have noticed that my painting galleries are often wonky or missing. It turns out that there seems to be some corrupted files within they databases that the website uses. I am currently in the process of working with the wonderful tech team at Photocrati to get my site fixed. So, please be patient. As a reward, I will post some new artwork once the galleries are fixed.

After five years in Louisiana my family and I have returned to California where we are now living in the North San Francisco Bay Area. I will be continuing my work as an artist along with working on a PhD in Art & religion at the Graduate Theological Union. My wife will continue working as a photographer at The Captivated Frame.

Crossing the country with our motley caravan was quite an experience. But, we managed to get all five children, the dog, and the turtle to California safely and were even able to attend our 200+ person family reunion in La Habre in Orange County along the way.
